This is painting 2/3 in my AGCW series. Eve, created from Adam’s rib, is his second wife and the woman who famously ate the fruit of knowledge thus damning all mankind. It is said that it was Lucifer himself who coerced Eve to eat the fruit of knowledge, however some texts suggest it was Lilith, Adam’s first wife who inspired Eve to eat the fruit.
This painting depicts Eve in the Garden of Eden being presented with the fruit of knowledge by either Lucifer or Lilith.
