Marie Antoinette, the infamous Queen of France. Towards the end of her reign the public had began to despise her for her lavish spending and sexual escapades. They loved nothing more than to spread fake news about her, including the very famous phrase ”Let them eat cake”, which Marie Antoinette never said. In fact Antoinette herself wanted nothing except to relax in her private hamlet Le Petit Trianon. This painting sees Antoinette through the eyes of the 21st century popculture, Antoinette is relaxing in her garden while enjoying the famous cake which the peasants couldn’t afford.
